Homes across Basildon and surrounding areas have recently been targeted with homophobic leaflets. Xpand Christianity produces these ‘offensive’ leaflets which are being distributed by an anti-homosexual group who are regularly ‘preaching hate’ outside Colors, a gay nightclub in Basildon.

Basildon mini-Pride March has been organised in response, and Southend UNISON LGBT+ Group will be attending, alongside Southend Pride, Transpire and many other community groups.

All UNISON members and allies are urged to come along and support this event and show that there is no place for hate in our society.
